Author of the highly acclaimed book,
Wake-Up Call: A Woman’s Survival Guide

Amy A. Gentry is an administrative professional in the healthcare industry, and is a divorced mother of two sons and one daughter. She attends St. Agnes Baptist Church in Houston, Texas where she is a member of the Voices of Faith Choir and a faithful Bible Study attendee.

A native Houstonian, she graduated from Madison High School in 1986 and ITT Technical Institute in 1987. She attends Houston Community College in Stafford, Texas, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She is a member of the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE), and the Association of Authors and Publishers (AAP).

After enduring a divorce, Gentry was dismayed to discover the myriad of problems on the dating scene. Talking to others in varying age groups, she was mildly surprised to learn that women all over the country were frustrated by the lack of integrity they were encountering in the men they met. This book takes a look at the role Satan plays in male-female relationships and the games, lies and deceptions that are prevalent. Of the book’s title, Gentry said, “Once you realize your destiny, it’s like ‘waking up’ to a new life. Nothing else seems to matter because it’s what you are born to do. Now, I can stand up for what is right, expose evil-doers, and promote justice.”

She desires that no one is ignorant to the devices the enemy uses to destroy people. Her book is the catalyst for a speaking career as she gives a message tailored for women in particular, but everyone in general. She said, “I come in the name of Jesus, so that you may be healed in your mind, heart, body, and spirit and then be made free.”
